Michael Schubert is the president of HR Capital and Solutions, LLC.
Michael has over 25 years of extensive human resource experience working
for large national and international companies including: Grumman
Flexible, Lincoln Engineering, Carter Carburetor, Stauffer Chemical and
Diamond Shamrock. His most recent corporate role was Vice President and
Officer for Henkel of America (parent company of Dial Soap, Loctite
Adhesives, and National Starch) where he was responsible for providing
HR services to 4500 employees located at 30 manufacturing and
administrative sites in North America.
During his career, Michael implemented a variety of human resource
programs and processes aimed at improving human capital effectiveness.
He chaired several human resource committees as the senior human
resource executive including Henkel’s compensation committee established
to implement broad banding, conduct Hay evaluations, implement market
pricing and to standardize compensation and incentive systems.
While chairing a world-wide HR committee, Michael developed and
introduced a formal succession planning process for managers and a
mentoring program for Hi-Potentials. He also introduced behavioral
interviewing and job competency identification for selecting internal
and external talent.
Michael developed and implemented the first employee handbook and policy
manual to standardize policies and procedures for Henkel’s largest NA
division and helped determine and introduce a common training and
development platform.
Michael holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of
Missouri, Columbia, was trained in Labor Relations at the University of
Michigan and received senior management training from INSEAD in
Fontainebleau, France. He is a certified trainer with DDI Interaction
Management programs and PDI selection and assessment programs.
